The zoo within the southern Ukrainian city of Odessa has opened its doors to a gaggle of animals now not usually seen in the back of bars – family pets.
Zoo director Igor Belyakov has taken in over 700 animals from fleeing Ukrainian refugees because the beginning of the Russian invasion.
Canines, cats, snakes, rabbits, hamsters, birds, chickens, turtles, chameleons and insects – all left at the back of whilst their homeowners couldn’t take them on their journey – now are living within the zoo.
A Few animals were able to go back house.
Odessa, just like the rest of the rustic, is coping with energy blackouts resulting from Russian strikes.
