Finland is construction a fence alongside its border with Russia to boost safety and prevent fleeing conscripts.
The Finnish Border Protect showed they have started terrain work, which involves ‘woodland clearance’ to make method for roads and stepped forward fencing.
It comes as Finland’s parliament overwhelmingly authorized legislation to pave the way for the Nordic country’s ancient bid to sign up for Nato.
Light picket fences in place alongside the 1,300-kilometre border are basically designed to maintain farm animals in position, The Parent reviews.
However tougher materials are now needed to prevent Russians escaping conscription, including barbed twine, night time vision cameras, lighting fixtures and loudspeakers.
