A Suite of Cambodian Crown Jewels – dating as some distance again because the seventh century – were lower back to the country after being present in London. 

Experts have been left surprised after finding dozens of artefacts, most of which have by no means been noticed before. 

The items belonged to the late British art dealer, and antiquities smuggler, Douglas Latchford, who died in 2020 at the same time as expecting trial within the US for artwork trafficking. 

His family agreed to return the collection to the country in south east Asia, nevertheless it wasn’t clear what items would be integrated. 

The collection of 77 items is full of ‘gold and different precious steel items from the pre-Angkorian and Angkorian length’.
