A Tottenham fan picked the inaccurate second to mess with Southampton in a hilarious Twitter change this morning.

The Saints have been, ahem, celebrating twenty years to the day because the notorious Ali Dia made his best look for the club in one of essentially the most farcical transfer stories of all time.

Southampton have been embarrassed in 1996 after they signed the unknown striker on the advice of somebody posing as George Weah, but their little video tribute displays they at least see the funny facet of it now.

A Spurs fan then walked proper into a very easy trolling by means of suggesting it was a slow news day on the St Mary’s Stadium, just for them to hit back with this very good reply:

@Lamelesque We’re actually getting ready for tomorrow’s #UEL sport. Certain you can recognise all about that very quickly! ? #saintsfc

Tottenham are heading for the Europa League after being knocked out in their Champions League workforce closing night time with a disappointing defeat to AS Monaco.

Who knows – the two sides may yet meet each other afterward in this season’s festival.
