An American politician who backs a ban on drag presentations has confronted further backlash after the emergence of a new photograph.
Tennessee has presented a new invoice which criminalizes the act of participating in an ‘grownup cabaret performance’ or a drag show on public assets.
It also bans, as the invoice places it, ‘topless dancers, pass-go dancers, exotic dancers (and) strippers … who supply adult entertainment that appeals to a prurient passion’.
Bill Lee, the state’s governor, confirmed earlier this week he proposed to signal the invoice into legislation.
However a photo on Reddit soon went viral, showing to turn the politician dressed in drag throughout his time as a high school student.
the teenager can be seen wearing a wig, a cheerleader’s uniform and a pearl necklace.

Taking to Twitter, Democrat Christopher Hale wrote: ‘Tennessee Governor Bill Lee is set to sign a bill that bans and criminalizes drag across the Volunteer State.
‘Underneath this regulation, Governor Lee himself could face prosecution and jail time for his choice to decorate up as a ‘arduous good fortune lady’ in highschool. Nice legs although!’
Lee has indirectly showed if he is within the image.
However his place of work instructed the Day-To-Day Beast, that ‘lighthearted college traditions’ as noticed within the yearbook picture shouldn’t be ‘conflated’ with what the bill is banning.
