A Ryanair flight from Poland was escorted through fighter jets to Athens following a bomb threat.

The flight FR6385 from Katowice in Poland landed in El. Venizelos, Greece earlier this night time.

The Boeing 737-800 was once noticed parked in a faraway area of the airport after the pilot mentioned a serious threat in the course of the flight.

An airport spokesperson stated ‘everyone are smartly and safe’ AirLive has suggested.

Hungarian fighter jets have been scrambled to intercept the plane until it reached North Macedonia.

Then F-SIXTEEN fight jets from Hellenic Air Pressure escorted the airliner until it landed in Athens.

Police and firefighters surrounded the aircraft after it landed at a remote spot on the airport and was once inspected via the bomb squad, ANA, a Greek news company, reported.

Passengers were taken off the aircraft and searched, to boot as their baggage and the plane itself.

The Greek fighter jets intercepted the plane as it entered Greek airspace above North Macedonia, the Greek Defence Ministry mentioned.

It Is uncertain where the origin of the bomb risk came from however it is thought to have been made shortly after the plane left Poland.
